Our Vision

The Calgary Dream Centre has developed and delivers a balanced (Mental, Physical, Social, Emotional, and Spiritual) “Program Model” that promotes the successful reintegration of the residents back into the community as productive members.

Our Mission

The mission of the Calgary Dream Centre is to help people to “Restore Dignity, Discover Destiny, and Realize their Dreams”. This is accomplished by engaging people in life management, career development, spiritual care, and reintegration into society as productive citizens.

Our Target Population

• Poor, homeless, disenfranchised males 18 years of age and over
• Clients with a sincere desire to experience significant life-change and be restored to society as complete and self-sufficient persons
• Clients that have been referred to the Dream Centre by partnering agencies or organizations as well as those referred by friends or family

Our 2 Streams

Residential Stream
The residential program stream has an emphasis on, Personal Life Management, Spiritual Foundations, Career Skills and Personal Life Development coupled with a mentored work place practicum. This program is delivered in a modular format and usually runs for a period of three months with an option to move into the transitional stream upon graduation.

Transitional Stream
The transitional housing stream specifically designed for the “working poor” in that it provides three meals a day, shared accommodation and access to our programs as the individual’s availability and personal schedule will allow.

Our Fee Structure

Residential Stream
The Residential Stream is offered at no cost to the participant. This includes all programs, modules and electives, meals, and shared accommodation. Residents will be expected to participate in “Residential Duties” as their contribution towards the operations of the CDC.

Transitional Stream
For $400.00 per month, three meals and shared accommodation are included. Access to the program electives is based on availability and resident’s schedule.

There is an administration fee of $25.00 for all residents upon approval of their application and being accepting into residency.

Clients will need to commit to a screening process, to evaluate their needs and eligibility for one of our program streams. The client will also need to complete a security check. Note: Resident Intake is scheduled to occur at regular intervals; however, some limitations may occur due to the start dates of the Program Stream.
