people in life management skill training, Career skills development,
Spiritual care and Integration into society as productive citizens.

On September 18, 2001 First Assembly
Church voted their 100% approval to the purchase of the Nite Inn
located at Macleod Trail S. after, For Information, Tours, and

From March 7 - 20, 2002 were meetings
with various Aldermen, Community Groups, and adjacent owners as
well as application for re-zoning took place.
On June 5th, 2002 there was 100%
approval given by the Calgary Planning Commission, and on July
15, 2002 unanimous approval was given by the City Council regarding
the land re-use bylaw. April 2003, Genesis Construction Corp.
began construction.

The Building Dedication - October
18, 2003 with music and speakers.
The Grand Opening occurred on February
12, 2004. This included speakers such as Kathy Edwards (Human
Resources Skills Development; Government of Canada), The Honorable
Stan Woloshyn (MLA; Minister of Seniors; Alberta Government),
and His Worship Mayor Dave Bronconnier (Mayor of the City of Calgary).
There was also a press conference, ribbon-cutting ceremony, a
stand-up reception and guided tours.
The Calgary Dream Centre is a Full
transitional Home. There are over 150 other Dream Centres located
in other parts of North America, including the Los Angeles Dream
Center (the first of it's kind).

spiritual care and integration into society as productive

The Programs
The Calgary Dream Centre will endeavor to provide “ Comprehensive
Client Care ” to men who have a genuine desire to experience change
in their lives. These men may be categorized as the poor, the
homeless, and others who have fell on hard times (Many are professional
tradesmen). Comprehensive Client Care will be achieved through
the avenue of the Calgary Dream Centre providing onsite re-training
for the individual in need. Operating as a autonomous
non-profit corporation, the Calgary Dream Centre will
work as a referral based organization and will
partner with other assistance-based groups in the City of Calgary.

The Property
The Dream Centre was an acquisition
of a 30-year-old hotel. It is located at 4510 Macleod Tr S, 2.5
kms. from City Centre and the downtown core. The hotel is a seven
story concrete structure encompassing 56,565 sq. ft. and is situated
on 2.56 acres of land. It is located on the east side, northbound
on Macleod Tr S at 45 Ave. The hotel has 65 rooms on five floors,
two general purpose floors and a paved parking area with 240 stalls.
The Hotel was completely re-furbished and is very unique with
5 star kitchen, and beautiful facilities for rental. Contact Catering
